Position Summary Information

Responsibilities
1. Plan, coordinate, and execute all home athletic events, including conference and NCAA postseason hosting.

2. Manage game-day logistics, staffing, and operations to ensure efficient and high-quality event execution.

3. Serve as primary event contact and coordinate with campus and external partners (e.g., Police, Facilities, Concessions, Administration).

4. Oversee ticket operations, including event setup, pricing structures, season packages, and single-game sales while supporting customer service and sales initiatives.

5. Manage ticketing systems, including online sales, mobile ticketing, print-at-home, and reporting functions.

6. Coordinate ticket renewals, seat allocations/upgrades, credentials, and parking plans.

7. Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures for ticketing, advertising sales, and inventory.

8. Ensure proper segregation of duties and safeguard departmental funds and assets.

9. Monitor system access, ticket voids, transfers, and financial reporting to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

10. Supervise full-time, part-time, and event staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.

11. Coordinate facility maintenance, track work orders, and ensure timely completion.

12. Serve as building manager for assigned athletic facilities, including scheduling, reservations, and usage oversight.

13. Assist with facility-related projects and operational improvements.

14. Prepare and submit bids for conference and NCAA postseason hosting opportunities.

15. Coordinate all logistics associated with hosted events in compliance with governing body requirements.

16. Provide customer service and support to fans, donors, and external stakeholders, including ticketing inquiries, event experience, and game-day engagement.

17. Assist with solicitation and revenue-generating efforts, including coordination of ticket sales initiatives, group sales, and collaboration with external partners to support departmental revenue goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in event management, ticket operations, or athletics administration
  • Knowledge of collegiate athletics operations and ticketing systems
Salary Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in event management, ticket operations, or athletics administration
  • Knowledge of collegiate athletics operations and ticketing systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience working in collegiate athletics, preferably in event or operations management
  • Experience with ticketing systems and other applicable athletics, financial, or operational software platforms
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and regulations
  • Experience in customer service, sales, or external engagement
