The World Class Teacher Program at The University of Mississippi assists eligible educators in preparing for National Board Certification through mentorship and candidate support. Our mentors prepare candidates to level up their practice and become leaders in their school district. Public school teachers in Mississippi who earn National Board Certification are eligible for salary increases, increases in retirement benefits, and are considered experts in their field.
We are seeking a part-time (13-15 hours weekly), National Board-Certified Teacher to assist in administrative tasks. The ideal candidate for this position will have/be:
- National Board-Certified Teacher with classroom education experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with Google Suite, particularly Google Drive and Google Docs
- Available for potential travel during summer months
- Able to balance competing priorities from multiple stakeholders (mentors and candidates)
Job Summary:
Provides routine administrative support to a department or group of professionals in support of unit goals.Job Description:
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations.
- Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures.
- Tracks, stocks, orders, and inventories office supplies under direct supervision to ensure adequate materials are available for workplace operation.
- Serves as an occasional point of contact for individuals and groups providing basic organizational information via phone, in person, and through other communication mediums, routing more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities.
